Ripton Rumors
The major rumor that keeps returning is that UMass will be setting up a branch
campus in our town. We saw a staffing plan from the dean of agriculture back
in the late 1980's that included the UMass basketball team, but it seems that things
have changed since then.
However, we recently heard that UMass is once again interested in a Ripton
campus that will be staffed by former academic administrators.
This would do wonders for our real estate market. Morton Willis and Chief Coakley
are particularly interested in helping out.
